[OPEN] Merging households through dialog doesn't proceed

Ditto. My sim's partner asked if they could move in, I accepted and it freezes after hitting the tick. Cant do anything until I force exit the game.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have your sim fall in love with sim ask them to Join Household.
What happens when the bug occurs? I go through the move in household process and then after clicking the check the screen just freezes and sim is never able to join my household.
What do you expect to see? The interaction to complete successfully and the sim to join my household.

I'm currently playing with Thi who's one of the premade sims available in one of the new residential rentals with For Rent. She ended up falling in love with her property Owner Panya Li currently they are in a relationship, and I am trying to get him to move in. The option to ask him to join household doesn't show up on him so I did cheat and add him to the household to make sure that he's sold all the property's he supposedly owns and then I had him quit his job, I removed him from the family with the cheat and then the next time he came over the option to ask him to join my household had appeared. So I went through the motions, and I asked him to join my household and screen came up I added him to the family transferred over all his simoleons and then hit the check mark and the game just froze. It sat on this screen for an hour! I had to eventually force quit the game and now the option to ask him to join my household is gone unless I go through the whole motion again of adding him and then removing him and then actually asking him. But what I don't understand is why the option to ask him to join my household without cheating him in doesn't show? Is it because he was the property owner? I am so confused I just want this sim to be added to my household without cheats. Has anyone else been successful in romancing their property owner?

@mightyspritesims Did you ever find the sim you wanted to move in in manage worlds? I want to move in Panya Li from the new pack so that he and my sim can get married but I can’t find him in manage worlds i think he’s part of the hidden households for For Rent which is frustrating because now I have to put off them getting married until I can get him to move in.

What happens when the bug occurs? When the screen "Split from household and move" appears, it kind of freezes. I cannot cancel the action and I cannot make the new sim join MY household. The only option that is allowed is my sims have to move out of their house to join the new sim household. In the example attached, Tanaka is my family. I asked Lê to join my household, by only my family Tanaka can join Lê's household. Not only that, when I select the only option available, I have to sell all the furniture in my house! I just lost a huge part of my gameplay because I had to close the game, since it wouldn't allow me to do anything else besides join the wrong household!
What do you expect to see? I'm expecting to have the new sim joining MY household with no problems!
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

It's not the first time this issue has happened to me. Every time I ask someone to join my household it happens. I've done it in different saves and I had the same issue.

I play on the ps4. Kyle Kyleson asked if we should move in together so I said yes and now it’s stuck. I didn’t save before doing it either. All I can do is move them back and forth and when I click the check it says the current stay over will end and when I click okay it doesn’t do anything,

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Anytime I invite a sim to move in it freezes on the Move/split menu I can move the sims in and out but nothing happens when I click on the tick. I does it when getting Married and inviting to move in as a friend

Please describe the patch or change you made. I have tried with and without my mods. I have tried fixing the game. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled it but still getting the same issues. It started around the time the sims rentals and updates came out have not been able to play due to issues.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? My sim is dating Paka'a Uha, who does not currently live in the world. I am trying to invite Paka'a to join my sim's household.
What happens when the bug occurs? I click "Ask to join household", and the "Split from Household and Move" window appears. I can move Paka'a to my sim's household and back again. I can transfer the household funds back and forth as well. But when I click the checkmark to confirm, nothing happens. The window doesn't close. I can still use the other buttons to move sims and funds back and forth but the checkmark button doesn't reenable. The "X" to close the window is also disabled at this point. The only thing I can do then is use Alt-F4 to close the game. If I save the game with the prompt that appears when I hit Alt-F4, when the game loads again, it will be before I have asked Paka'a to join the household.
What do you expect to see? The window closes when the checkmark is clicked, and Paka'a successfully joins the household.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? The issue occurs on a fresh install of the game and packs, with no mods or custom content.

YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER!!!! I hadn’t save and was so scared to lose my recent progress!

The sim I was trying to have move into my house was classified as “not currently in world.” I moved my whole household to her side, sold my house but kept the furnishings, then just rebought it and put all my stuff back! Kind of a pain, but 1000 times better than losing hours of progress!!! Thank you!

Hello, 

I need help please. My Sims cannot move in to another household if they are asked to. I am asking the sim, he accepts, then the window opens to select the new household meber and as soon as I am clicking on the check mark it gets gray and I can only cancel and close the window otherwise it is stuck.

I have installed the latest pack and the latest patch. 
I am playing on a PS5. 

Please help…this is an important function.
