Sims 4 game keeps crashing when I try to move her boyfriend in

Please help I’m not sure why every time I press ask to move in and she he agrees it brings it ti the screen I move him over and press the check and then it freezes, I’ve restarted the game like 7 times and I tried to repair it. Nothings working

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Inviting a sim to join your household
What happens when the bug occurs? The check button to accept the Sims into your household turns gray and I can't exit. It freezes
What do you expect to see? To see the new household member image on the bar with the rest
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

i am trying to split households and it brings up the box and says no sims are selected. they are selected but will not let me split. this just started today.

This is exactly what I'm dealing with! I only noticed it today and every time it happened,  I had to force shutdown my laptop. I couldn't back out or anything

multiple questions:

1. Is there an option popping up ("split households" option on phone/computer)?

2. If yes, do you have multiple household members?

3. If yes, can you click and highlight a member?

4. If yes, can you click at all the "ok" button?

I would need more answers to try to resolve your problem.

I do not have the option to split household. Only move household. I’ve tried through computer and phone. No option. So I went to manage worlds and tried it that way. The box comes up I click the sims I want to move into a new house hold and the arrows are grayed out and says I dont have sims clicked when I do have them clicked. So the merge arrows are grayed out and so is the check at the bottom.
