My Wedding Stories Tea Sets disappear completely

@JaggidEdje This (the things you wrote in the Edit of post #2) explains why my sim has been constantly reacting to something smelling bad when he's in the kitchen! I removed the tea set and now he doesn't complain about the smell anymore.

I too have the issue with the Tea Set from My Wedding Stories disappearing. 

For me it's only after I steep the tea, or otherwise interact with it. If i leave it standing on it's own then it's fine. Nothing smells etc. But once I use it then instead of being able to clean the set it just disappears. 

It happened with two families so far (I haven't been using the set much before).

Dirty tea set still going missing. Could be thrown out when dirty, not sure.

Still an issue.

If we leave the lot and come back...the tea set is gone!
