This may not be a bug but even with two households all pregnant sims have baby boys even after 5 kids.
Anyone else experiencing this?

We have the possibility to influence gender now
- Sims can now influence the gender of their offspring!
- Strawberries and Pop music (one, the other, or both) seem to lead to more baby girls.
- Carrots and Alternative music seem to lead to more baby boys.
So I'm marking this as solved and lock it.

I don't think it is. It's been reported in Sims 3 as a bug after each EP.
It's just coincidance.

I have heard a lot of other simmers with this problem, and I have it as well. My sims are only having baby boys, and that goes for other pregnant sims around town as well.

My Sim family had one girl, and three boys. But there are eight sim teens in town now, all boys, and another 3 (?) sim children, also all boys.

I'm also experiencing this problem, and with boys.

I searched through threads over at the forum because I am having an issue with my game related to gender. I think there is something going on but don't know what.

I remember reading but cannot find the thread that people were finding their neighborhoods with only one sex of children either male or female. This is happening to me. I have only had one sim baby - a boy. So cannot comment on families with all boys or families with all girls. But what I have observed in my game is that now my sim baby has grown up to be a child the only children in the neighborhood are all male. There are no girls in the neighborhood at all.

Same for me. My sim had 5 boys & finally had a girl the 6th time (maxing out my household). So I tried a different family to see if it would happen to & it was the same thing but this time all boys. The girl never came.

Added for now.

I don't know if it's a bug for me or not, but I think some math/mechanic must be off somewhere. My CAS had a perfect 50% distribution of genders (3 boys, 3 girls-four single births, one twins) in a pretty normal order. However the second generation had triplets her first pregnancy (2 boys 1 girl), and she has had 7 pregnancies all resulting in boys since. I'm playing with default settings and using no cheats, and we haven't used the fertility treatment for anyone. It could be legit math, but it still feels kind of boy heavy.

I have continued playing my game in which I am having the single gender problem with children. In my case I have just played one family in the game and they have just had one child. It is the Sunday before the boy is due to age up to teen. I sent him down to the neighborhood playground in Oasis Springs. There are 5 other NPC children on the playground and one other NPC child on the street. They are all male. My family has been frequently visiting the parks and other community lots. During the boy's entire childhood I have not seen a single female child.
I know they say this is random. But something needs to be done to strike a more 50/50 balance in the child population in the game.
