[WORKAROUND] Game randomly speeds up

I’m having this same issue. Happens after a few hours of gameplay. Only way to fix it is going to a new household, restarting the game, or going to the create a sim screen. Sounds like a game issue that needs fixed with the next patch.

I'm having this problem too, on a MacBook running on macOS Catalina! When I try to play with speed 1 or 2, it stays like this for a few seconds and then it changes automatically to speed 3. But when I pause the game, it stays paused like normal. Is there any date estimative of when they are going to release the update that fix it definetly?

Whenever I am playing in the sims4 game the fast forward automatically turns on and I cannot switch it back.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

Until this is fixed, try firing the maid.

I was coming out of build mode when this happened to me too! And I had no services hired either.

Fixed an issue in which the game would jump to Ultra Speed randomly when some Service NPC, specifically Maids, were on the Lot. Talk about speed cleaning!

Fixed in Patch 1.60.54
