sims 4 glitched since update 7/23

every time i try to go to the worlds the game turns black and i can’t click on anything. also the bottom right tabs glitch and i can’t click on them. this just started happening after my game updated (today 7/23)

I am also having this issue, but want to add that I cannot access my options menu after this glitch occurs. I cannot save and exit, and a lot of other panels are locked out. It basically corrupts the entire session once the bug starts.

This is happening for me too, once I click and get the glitch the whole game breaks and I have to close it from task manager. Not even ALT+F4 works

Sounds like You may have some mods installed that aren't compatible with the new update. Have you tried disabling mods and custom content?

I'm having the buttons issue I've seen mentioned on this thread and a couple of other posts too, though I wasn't sure if it was related - but it also softlocks the game. Hotkeys don't work. I have to close it from Task Manager. I tried to use Manage Worlds and the screen just acted like a black curtain was placed between the game and the UI, even though tooltips still showed up.

Moreover, children's bottom menu glitches.

Issue:

Updated my game on 23 July, opened the game. I have two children in my household, whose bottom menu (skills, simology, etc.) glitches. It opens and closes immediately. My children's character traits are half in English and half in Russian (Russian is the language installed in-game). Also, they seem to "up" simultaneously, but I couldn't get a closer look, because the menu refuses to expand. 

After encountering the issue, I wanted to close and reload the game. However, the game refused to let me exit into main menu. I force-quit it from my finder window and don't know what to do next. Has anyone had this issue?

NB: No one was dying or giving birth in the household, so there is no reason to force me to stay in-game. My mods are turned off. 

Tried: Reloading and repairing the game.

Ever since the recent update the UI is very glitchy. Some of the panels (simology/ relationships) can either not be opened or stay open while another gets layered on top. Sometimes it is impossible to switch the active sims and the moodlets are not displayed properly but only show as blue boxes with no text.

Heya!

So It's been a while playing so I had to download the new EA app and a bunch of updates on my Mac so that I could play the sims4 (without any mods), and now I can start the game but it has various bugs.
I can open the game, open a save file, but then I can't do anything anymore except for very laggy play. saving, going to world map, can't do anything and I have to force quit otherwise nothing happens. I also can't properly switch in-between the in play menu (like the traits menu, work menu, needs menu etc). And when they open they do some wacky stuff (see attached files).

My friend who plays on windows doesn't have any of these issues

I checked and my MacBook Pro has plenty of free space etc, help a girl out please 😭🧐🥺

What do you expect to see? A non glitched UI
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
