I found that my detective can't release a suspect from the cell.
My detective can lock a suspect into the cell but after that this suspect will be locked in the cell until this day's shift is over.
And I remembered that I don't have this problem when GTW is released.
This problem happened recently.
Maybe one of those updates caused it.
I don't have any mods.

- Detectives should now be able to remove Sims locked in their cells to interrogate them.
There was a fix that might solve the issue and since there hasn't been much activity in this thread, going to mark this as fixed.
Please open a new thread of you still have issues with this.

It's always been an issue .. even at the event we had in March.
I don't think it's on the list so I'll add

Please answer these questions:
Is this a suspect or a criminal?
If you lock the suspect in the cell, while they are in the cell is the option "release from cell" appearing?
March 2016
There might be two issues here but probably related (or the same)
The one I'm referring to is that you can't lock criminals in their cell after fingerprinting them. They'll go back to their cell put then you can only lock them in and not release but locking doesn't do anything.

I am wondering if this option is missing for @kinot9229 @wurf777 or it could be something else.
I don't know if they are talking about a criminal or a suspect. I can't replicate their issue in my game and I need more information from them.
March 2016
Can you replicate the one I'm describing ?

Is this what you mean? The female Sim with the red hair in the video on the UI for locking Sims back I fingerprinted before putting her back into the cell. I didn't record that on the video. The male Sim with the blond hair, I just let him out and put him back in the cell as you see in the video.
I didn't capture this in the video but it occurs for both suspects and criminals.

Yes, that's what I mean.
After you put them back in, you can only lock them back in instead of release
I saw that issue at the gtw event back when
