Re: FR/HSY property owner lost property after teenage sim was in highschool

I tried to save to attach a save file but got this:

Error Code

Below is a video of a property manager who owned two residential rentals and one retail, all missing now. It also shows what happens when you hit +Create Unit

@jmavibus Same here. No Owned rentals showing at first on live mode, change to build mode and back and it shows up on the panel.
This issue was even before the latest patch.

This happens to me as well all the time.

The only quick solution that can be done so far is to go to Build Mode > Select or view the rental floor > go back to Live Mode.

Continue until the rental units show up on the Property Tab again. Works every time but it's just a hassle to do all of this just to view your rental units.

Let me know if this works for you as well! Hoping this will be fixed soon!

@vigantic This happens to me too. I just save it through Manage Worlds > Menu > Save.

@SpooBear121 You have to put the "For Rent" sign which you can buy in "Build Mode" in order to see the business residential rentals. After that you can look for tenants. I just fixed mine through this process just now. I was trying if I can buy it again through the sign, which I don't have to buy again. Standard smile Hope this helps

@nglmrnl the sign is not it in my case. I had the sign on the lot from the start of the build into gameplay. I still have the same issues.

So sadly, the thing that helped me and I actually don’t see it as a problem anymore was starting a new save. It really sucks you have to do that but it worked for me. And this is not a fix, I have no idea if it will work for anyone else too. But try it out!

This just happened to me.  Sim had 3 different rental properties.

I have NO mods or CC, never did.

I was building a new rental property out when I got the error code trying to save.

I left the game without saving, when I re-launched it, the "resume" family was a completely different townie family never played before in another world altogether.

I then tried to load the last save of my actual active family, it would not load, just stayed on the loading screen forever.

I logged in again, used the resume on the townie family, then used manage worlds to return to my other family, except the only ones home were the dogs and it would not load.

I moved her out, then back in, then tried to sell all rental properties through the manage worlds.  I was able to disconnect them all but lost the money and furnishings.  Then I tried to buy the properties back.  The one with tenants says I can't buy it or change it to a regular residential with tenants, but I also can't evict them because I don't own the lot, nobody does.

The other rental was vacant when I was building on it so I was able to go in and change it to residential, then buy it as just a lot, then change it back to residential rental.  But now it won't let me do anything on it.  I can't add units, I can't save I get the error message, and now I can't even sell it again when I try it just freezes.

I cannot upload a save file I have a custom built and do not use cloud services of any kind.  I can email any save file if someone wants to provide me with an email to do so.

I also took my sim to buy residential rental property in a different world.  It let me purchase the property but would not let me save (I tested it as soon as I was on property in build mode).

I have been playing fine for a few days, no issues.  I had 7 units over 3 properties at maximum rents and then suddenly it all just went in the toilet for no reason.

Issues with the For Rent pack

★★★ Newbie

Hi,

My sims bought residential rental properties and on the map it says they own them but when I go to the option (to see what I own or buy vet clinics, retail, etc). under my specific sim, the rental units will not show up and it gives me the option to buy one (even though I own one!) When I click it, I dont have accessFrown  I have no control over my rentals at all!

Does anyone else have this issue or does anyone know how to fix the glitch?

Thank you!
