[OPEN] [FR] Property ownership not recognized in owned rental tab

My issue started today. It wont let me save. I used the pack to decorate my apartments and then it started. Maybe delete all or most for rent build buy items? Thats what I am going to try.

I’ve had this issue and it’s driving me NUTS! No mods, repairing the game, resetting to generate all new files — NOTHING WORKS!!

Any time I own a rental and have to go to ANY loading screen, my rental disappears from my owned business menu and I can’t get a new sim to buy the lot because the world view shows the rental as “owned”.

This is INSANE.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? You can find the bug by scrolling over the Ro Kaya Rockside lot. You can also find it by changing this lot to a residential rental, buying it, and then seeing that it says “you don’t own any residential rentals” under the “owned businesses” tab.
What happens when the bug occurs? The Ro Kaya Rockside lot is showing “units and tenants” when it’s not classified as a residential rental. (See picture) When it is classified as a residential rental and I buy it, it says I don’t own any residential rentals. I originally built an apartment complex on this lot to use as a residential rental. I have since bulldozed it, error still occurs. I have been received help on the MCCC discord and have tried everything. They directed me here and said it looks like a game bug. Error still occurs on even when all my mods and custom content are uninstalled. However, if I start a fresh new sims 4 folder AND a new save it doesn’t happen. Only happens w the one specific save, even on a fresh sims 4 folder w no Mods/CC.
What do you expect to see? Expect to see the lots description match the type of lot.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I have already made sure there are descriptions on lots. I have ruled out mods / CC. The bug seems like it may be specific to one save.

@gracewintern On the fresh save with no mods, did you try saving it as a residential rental first, before switching it to a park? Or did you just confirm that when the lot is first generated it's not yet stuck as a rental?

When the lot is first generated it is not stuck as a residential rental. Also not stuck when I add my mods/CC. It only happens once I add in my saves.

@gracewintern It seems you're having a multitude of issues.

I've merged with the not showing as owned but the other thread PipMenance linked is probably just as valid.

There's a few issues that seem connected.

This is happening to me too with Residential Rentals and also Vet Clinics.

I have the same problem  and found the only way to get the residential rental  panel back up is to go in build mode minute and back to live mode it comes back up with all the property's you own

I started experiencing this bug very suddenly. But a few events lead up to it for me so I figure I should share. The menu was working fine, and it this all happened after I spent several hours building a hotel complex. I finished it, and traveled to my home lot via the world selection menu.

Things went weird here. When I selected my home plot in Chestnut Ridge, my main character, Lance, was showing that his location was "Secret" even though I just left him at my new rental plot in NewCrest. I selected another household member so I could load into my plot, then recall Lance to it. At this point, the game locked up. It sat in the loading screen for 10 minutes before I gave up and force quit. No matter what I did, every time I tried to load into my home plot, the game locked up. The only way I was able to get around this was to go into a totally separate household that knew Lance, and invite him over to visit so he would spawn in. Only then could I get back into my main home plot again and recall him to that lot. No issues with that since.

It was after that incident that my owned businesses menu stopped working. Neither the rental plot, nor my vet clinic would show up anymore. I sold and repurchased both businesses, and this did not fix the issue. That's when I looked this post up. I tried the trick where you go into build mode and back out, and it only worked for my Vet clinic. My rentals still refuse to show up in the menu. The game acknowledges that I own both properties, as I can go to them and enter build mode. But they refuse to show in the business menu.
