How often does the bug occur? 100%
What is your current game version number? 1.84
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? For rent, Cats and Dogs, My First Pet Stuff, Vampires, Snowy Escape, Seasons, Romantic garden stuff, Movie hangout stuff, Get together, Dream home decorator, Dine out and City living. 
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Purchase a rental property, load in and click on owned rentals tab. 
What happens when the bug occurs? I'm not a property owner even though I own the lot.
What do you expect to see? Owned rental tab.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? N/A
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? N/A 

Not sure what to do, I've tried replacing the lot, selling the property and purchasing again, purchasing the property in multiple ways but nothing seems to work. I also occasionally get an error message when trying to save when on the lot. 

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Fixed in Patch 1.107.112/1.92

I do hope this fixes the issue for everyone in this thread, especially those that had it on other businesses too.

If you still have issues, please create a new thread describing exactly which lot you have the issue on and which businesses.

Hello everyone when i buy a residential rental it would not show it when I return to my lot. i do not know what to do or how to fix it?

@makaisk Are you using mods ? If so, did you test without ?

My sims was a property owner and landlord of the place they live in, however, after I closed and reopened the game, he no longer owns that property nor can he buy it! Even if I move him out and try to buy it I can't, I can only move there to live... what can I do ?? I spent all of his saving building that community

@TheBNT Is this on save with no mods/cc ? Did the rest of the progress save properly ?

Not OP, but I have the same issue. I tried it both with mods and without but the result didn't change.

Try the following

• Close the game
• Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
• Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
• Start a new save game
• Check if you still have the error
• Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

Yes! I have no mods or cc. I can buy another rental property and build different apartments there, but if I move in I automatically stop being the owner.

@FhootSruit I'd suggest trying this sequence:

• Move your Sim to another lot.
• In Manage Worlds, change that lot setting to Residential and evict the Sims in it
• Exit the game and delete localthumbcache.
• Enter the game and re-edit the lot to be Rental Residential, and allocate the units.
• Purchase the lot and select one to move into.
• Re-list the rental or move households in from Manage Households

When I opened a new save without any mods it worked. I assume maybe some Mod caused that save to get corrupted.
