I had this bug happen when I was not playing on any residential rental lots at the time. Two played households in the save lived in residential rentals, but they had not been active for a while.

I was trying to switch one of my lots that one of my households lives on from residential rental to regular residential, but the lot from the world overview still had the residential rental icon even though in build mode it was selected as regular residential. So, I attempted to fix that by "selling the business" (even though none of the members of said household is the landlord, and there was no landlord on the lot), and it still didn't work. I finally attempted to just reset the lot by deleting the build. However, when I went to replace the build from the gallery, the "place lot" button was grayed out with a message saying that I couldn't place a non-residential rental on a residential rental lot. Now, ever since I did that, I can no longer play with any of my households or edit any of my lots in this save without it immediately sending me to manage worlds with the Error Code: 122:a0adad34:5e844058 saying that my game failed to load and that it is recommended I relaunch the game (which I have done multiple times). I have no idea how to fix this - any help would be very appreciated.

This is on the laundry list and hopefully should be fixed soon.

I know this is an old thread but I'm having this problem and I can't delete the household. Any tips on how to handle?

You should no longer experience situations where you can get stuck on Residential Rental lot types. This includes Error code: 102/122:a0adad34 which should no longer occur on load.

Fixed in Patch 1.105.297/1.87

Please create a new thread if you're still experiencing this issue,

I tested an already affected save game and it loaded fine now. So the fix is for existing saves as well.
