Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Error Code: 102:a0adad34:b237a894 It started when I was trying to change the lot type on a lot in For Rent. I changed it to Residential in the Info panel, and despite saying Residential in the Info panel, it kept saying it was Residential Rental on the main map and wouldn't allow me to place any residential lots from the gallery. So it was displaying as a Residential on the info panel while displaying as a Residential Rental on the map and not allowing residential lots to be placed. At some point the game crashed, by remaining stuck on the loading page for an hour or so, until I had to force quit the game. After this occurred, I received the Error Code message, and now I CANNOT PLAY MY GAME AT ALL
What happens when the bug occurs? I hit play or resume, and my game loads and opens. As soon as it opens, I receive an Error Code message that says; "The game failed to load. Error Code: 102:a0adad34:b237a894. It is recommended that you relaunch the game." If I click ok, and try to continue game play, such as click on a lot to build or a household to play, it returns to the Error Code message with the map in the background. SO I CANNOT PLAY MY GAME AT ALL
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to play the game as usual, click on a lot to build, or a household to play.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I get this error when opening The Sims 4, For Rent.

I played it a full 10 hours before this started happenig. When I tried to launch the game today I get this error.

I've tried uninstalling all my mods, to no avail.

I've tried repearing as well, but alas it doesn't work.

You should no longer experience situations where you can get stuck on Residential Rental lot types. This includes Error code: 102/122:a0adad34 which should no longer occur on load.

Fixed in Patch 1.105.297/1.87

Please create a new thread if you're still experiencing this issue,

I tested an already affected save game and it loaded fine now. So the fix is for existing saves as well.

I was playing for a while yesterday when I went to visit a tenants house and after loading for a while the game took me to the worlds screen and gave me the error code "the game failed to load. error code 102:a0adad34:b237a894 it is recommended that you relaunch the game" so now I have removed all mods, cleared the cache, redownloaded origin all at the advice of one customer service person to then be told by another that there is nothing that I can do but wait and see if it gets fixed in the next patch which is disheartening because what if it doesn't lol

@renateant Do you have any LastException files in your documents folder ?

Best is to delete the ones you have, then trigger the error and check if new ones are created.

yeah I went to try and launch the game just now and it won't launch, just giving me error messages. Apparently it's an ongoing issue

This same error code is happening for me as well.

I just bought the new For Rent pack and I'm not able to play my game at all.

I have no mods and I tried deleting all of my LastException files, the Error Code is still coming up, it's creating a new LastException file, and I'm still not able to play at all.

I had one mod pack that I tried a long time ago, just out of curiosity, but everything has worked just fine since. I am not a current user of mods, so that is not the issue. I have deleted those just in case. 

I tried what I could researching the forums and nothing has helped. I deleted my lastException fils and lastCrash files and it didn't help.

I just bought the For Rent pack and was only able to play it for less than a day, and now nothing works.

Has any ever received this error code before? I get it when I am trying to open a lot that I just built.

I have no mods whatsoever, the lot I had was a residential, but I did briefly change it to a residential rental when I got For Rent to test it out but I didn't like it so I changed it back. Now it won't let me in at all.

I have uninstalled-reinstalled, repaired, removed For Rent (which causes other issues on its own), and I can't even apply a household or any household to any lots on the entire save.
