I loaded up a backup of the affected save file I made from before the patch. In that version, I can load into the households that are affected in the other version of the save. I'll continue playing in this version of the save, which is about one in game week behind the other one, and see if the issue pops up again if I don't place the Lin-Z speaker.

On the map there is a small hammer and wrench icon next to the play button. That way you can enter build mode from the map.

I might not need it. I think I got it figured out (not how to solve though) but the cause.

Hello Crin I"ll go ahead and send it to you now anyway before I go to work. I still can't load into the family this morning. I copied the save directly from the game.Before I saved yesterday I had my sim change the season from Fall to Winter on the Weather Machine. I also updated Lily with additional everyday outfits and I deleted Winterfest on the calendar and moved it up to a closer day and added Christmas Eve as well.

@catloverplayer You can delete all those saves called slot_00000001.save and it's backups. Those are no longer used.
