[DO] Can't request table in restaurant on a date

For me it started even before the last patch.

no mods. No Cc and I play on PC

I had this happen too.

What is your current game version number? The Sept 18th version. 1.109.185.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed?

All of them (including the 2 new ones) except Bust the Dust.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?

Go to a restaurant during the date. Either click on a table (and I tried several in the restaurant) or the restaurant seating kiosk. The icon for the server comes up but then disappears. Even waiting to see if the interaction is just slow doesn't have the server show them to the table. (I'm in a fresh save, no mods, clean localcache.package file, using a sushi restaurant from the Gallery that I've saved and use frequently in my game without any difficulty.)
What happens when the bug occurs? 

When you request a table the interactions cancels after the animation of asking for it. (The server *does* seat the townie diners in the restaurant.)
What do you expect to see? 

The server seats the dating pair..
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? 

No
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system?   

Yes. In my regular save last week (before the Sept 18 patch), I had no trouble with my Sims not being able to sit at their favorite table. This time, because I couldn't get them seated at my favorite restaurant, I had my Sims change the date venue to the Spice Festival (which started during their date) so they were able to have a meal together (since eating on the date was one of the date goals.)

I'm glad I found this forum; I thought it was me. I deleted all my mods, reinstalled the game, repaired it, and played without mods to see if it solved my problem. I still get the same bug as I had with my mods.

Celebrate a date in a restaurant, no matter if you iniciate the action or the other sim do it.
What happens when the bug occurs? 

When you request a table the interactions cancels after the animation of asking for it. Restaurant works normally for other sims.

Getting a table when asked while being on a date.

The restaurants in Sims 4 don’t work for dates anymore. They work if my Sim just goes when not on a date, but when someone asks them on a date to a restaurant the staff is there but there is no option to request a table.

@Syxarp I’ve just started having this problem. I’ve never experienced it before. It’s only when my sims are on dates. They can eat out when it’s not an event. I saw on another forum that the lights were an issue and when they changed the lamps they worked again but I tried that and still not working. It only started after this new update from 9/18/24

What is a "tablet machine"? I tried moving the waiter station away from the wall, I tried moving the host station away from the wall. No success.

I made another test without lovestruck this morning and it's the same result , they won't get a table so as long as you are on date but if you create a single sim and making the same request that sim will get a table , i haven't tested if you are just inviting somebody to meet you at the restaurant and then request a table so if anyone can do that then we can narrow down the search area for the dev team. So far it seem to be date related
