What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansion packs, all game packs apart from Batuu, paranormal, nifty knitting, moschino, move hangout, laundry day, bowling night, vintage glamour, tiny living
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? In the interior designer career, choose a gig that involves adding a level and try building on the top floor.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game won't allow you to place furniture/build rooms and will say "you cannot make changes other than the level designated by the gig" despite it being on the top floor.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to build on the top floor and be able to complete my gig.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

It sometimes works but sometimes it won't let me build on some houses. For example, I managed to add a level on the Tinker and Free Spirits house, however it won't let me add a level on the Behr house or a house in Sulani. It will let me delete roofs and staircases, but I can't do anything else. Please help!

I'm having the same issue as well, it works for some and doesn't work for others. It's really frustrating when it doesn't work as I have to cancel the gig and lose reputation or complete it and leave the clients annoyed. I really hope that they can fix the issue soon.

You can see in the pictures that it's restricted to the top floor, however it won't let me edit the top floor...

My Sim isn't high enough and I don't want to cheat her up :D

It will let me delete the roof and move it, but I can't place a room

My sim is also level 10 in the career and it has worked before, but now it doesn't work
