I am still having the issue

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.90.375.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All but Bust the Dust kit.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? ( 1 )Buy chicken coop & place it on lot ( 2 ) Buy chickens for chicken coop, one hen & one rooster ( 3 ) Wait until the hen produces a hatchable egg ( 4 ) Collect the hatchable egg ( 5 ) Drag the hatchable egg to the coop to incubate
What happens when the bug occurs? The egg just disappears. At some point between placing the egg in the coop to hatch & the time the egg is supposed to hatch, the egg disappears. The issue persists even with mods removed. ‌
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to hatch the egg. It's not there for me to hatch.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

‌This issue has been ongoing since at least April. The original post is marked as resolved but it has not been resolved.

My solution is to always have enough hens to hatch the eggs. If I have all roosters, the eggs will spoil & a sim throws them away. If I have 2 hens, but 3 hatchable eggs, one will spoil and again, a sim throws it away.

So, make sure you have at least 2 hens when hatching 2 eggs, 3 hens for 3 eggs, etc.

@janyses sadly that didn't work for me. I had 2 hens and 1 egg. The egg still spoiled, even when a chicken actually went to it

@missroxanne123 I’m having the same issue. No matter how many chickens I’ve had they always spoil. I’ve only had one chick hatch out of the entire bunch.

I have found that when your sim is cleaning the coop or shed or is taking the trash out they try to do all the trash on the lot. Cancel that action. Make sure they don’t take the egg out of the coop and it will hatch.

Having the same issue. I have managed to lucky hatch 2 chics out of 13 hatching eggs. The rest were spoiled and sim cleaned them away. The eggs spoil no matter do you stay in the lot the whole hatching time or visit other lots in between. It does the same whether I have mods on or not.

Going to try your suggestion next @checster155 and leave the spoiled eggs in incubators and see, if they'll eventually hatch.

I tested this again in my gameplay today and can confirm that canceling the action works. Just gotta watch those pesky sims cleaning. All my spoiled eggs hatched today!

I have been having by the same issue, the eggs are not hatching, disappear (possibly being throw.n out). I have no mods in game, I actually recently got a new computer and have a brand new download/save free/clean slate game. I haven’t played in months and this issue was never happening before. I had played many games where I would hatch chicks with no issues, I’m not doing anything different in game.

My eggs aren't hatching even when I watch them like a hawk and cancel any attempts to throw them out. I watched them for a full sims week and they just stayed spoilt.
