YAY! It works on my dog!!!!

The command removes all active moodlets from the pet, if your pet doesn't lose their moodlets you've missed a step of my instructions. It is imperative that you type the SimID of your pet exactly as it's outputted, otherwise the command will have no effect.

Hey
I tried this earlier and it didn't work. I could get the ID but when I typed the remove buffs cheat nothing happened, any ideas?

This is peculiar. What lot were you on? My friend mentioned that some of her vampire traits (the one that removes the social need decay for instance) stop functioning in some lots and continue working in others. I wonder if that issue might be intersecting with this one preventing moodlets from truly clearing, in some way?

I followed these steps and it worked, but I think it removed all the interaction options with my pet? Now I can only do a few things, like "talk to", "get to know" and "give praise".. It totally removed almost all the social interactions...

That shouldn't be the case, curse spaghetti code. What this command does, plain and simple is that it clears all of the moodlets. The moodlets are the little square icons under their portrait that influence what emotion your sim i... When you go to the veterinarian and get a shot, the moodlet that your pet receives doesn't expire (or has a really long expiry timer, my pet managed to die before he stopped being scared) so the command simply clears all of the moodlets.
It doesn't affect your relationship with the pet, so it shouldn't lock out any interactions other than the ones pertaining to certain moodlets, for example the "What's wrong?" and "Calm down" interactions you can use when your pet is scared.

Thank you for the workaround so much! I had the same issue, and using of the cheat codes occurs to be the only way to fix it. I hope the fix will be available soon, as I’ve created two dogs and resetting moods after each vet clinic visit is not an option at all
