I made a cake, put candles on them and then used the action "taste frosting".
This caused my sim to age up. (which I find strange, but ok).
I quit the game without saving (I saved right before the action), went back, and cancelled the action.
I threw the cake away.
Now my game is stuck in the aging process. I can't make my sim leave the lot or move out or anything.
But much more importantly; I can't save my game!!
Very unfortunate, because this causes an endless loop.

The game will no longer occasionally accidentally think that a Sim is in the middle of aging up, which had previously prevented players from traveling or saving during this time.
- That said, you still (intentionally) can’t travel or save when a Sim really is aging up… happy birthday!
Fixed in Patch 1.47.49

Not realizing it was his birthday I sent my sim to the gym in Willow creek. He got tiered and I discoverd I couldnt travel to send him home because he was "aging up". I waited for a force age up like in sims 3 but nothing happend. I can't enter buymode to get him a birthday cake to age up and I can't switch to the other sims in my household to bring a cake?
What do I do?

Resetsim doesn't work ?
Can't you leave the game without saving ?

I've tried resetting all three of the sims in my household.
Still can't save.
If I leave the game without saving it returns at the point of my sim with the action "try frosting". I delete that one, and everything is as it is now.
The only thing I could try is aging her up, but I'd rather not.
(can you age a sim down again with a cheat?)

You should be able to age her down with full cas: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/change-sims-name-and-traits/ but I'm not 100% sure

Allright... letting my sim age up doesn't work either.
The save option stays disabled, no matter what I do.
Which means my game, which I've been playing non-stop for about 7 hours now, is useless.
Sigh.
I was willing to accept the fact that the game was lacking some important features because I understand what effort it takes to build the new game from the ground up. But if there are bugs like this in it still...
Really too bad something like this makes me (and forces me) to stop playing.
I've tried it.... the refund it is...

Sad to hear.

They should auto-age after a while.
Did you try resetting the Sim ?

Has the reset cheat changed? I couldn't get it to work.
