I also have an issue with this.
It seems my game is stuck at 99% finished video game so every time I try to do it, it says "Continue making video game" and is finished in 3 secs, then it asks me to name and I get royalties but no initial pay. I have made 20 video games like this now.

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.48.94.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats & Dogs, City Living, Get to Work, Get Together, Seasons, Dine Out, Outdoor Retreat, Parenthood, Spa Day, Vampires, Backyard Stuff, Cool Kitchen Stuff, Fitness Stuff, Laundry Day Stuff, Movie Hangout Stuff, Perfect Patio Stuff, Spooky Stuff.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a high-level programming Sim create a game 2-3 times, then on the 3rd or 4th try the issue will present itself.
What happens when the bug occurs? After successfully creating 2-3 video games, on the 3rd or 4th try instead of "Start Creating Video Game" the option will be "Continue Making Video Game" instead of "Start." When you click "Continue Making Game," the game will be finished instantly, prompting you to input a title for your newly completed game, even though your Sim didn't spend any time actually creating it.
What do you expect to see? I expect the Sim to have to spend time creating a game, rather than it being finished instantly.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
Issue as described above. The sim in question has worked on 2-3 games as intended, but now whenever I want to create a game, the task is done immediately and the Sim starts receiving royalties the next day.
This issue ONLY affects Video Game creation- Mobile App creation, Freelance Work, Modding/Hacking still work as intended. I have already tried clearing the cache(s), repairing game files, reinstalling the game completely & moving the Sim to another lot. None of these fixes have worked.

Hi @cs3k
merging this for now with existing thread on video creation.
Sounds the same or at least related.

Thanks @crinrict! I wasn't aware of the other thread, but you're right- sounds like the exact same issue. Is this on the Dev team's radar?
