Why is this still a problem after SOOOO long? Apartments, rentals, university dorms. It's a very specific bug so surely not so difficult to fix?

Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Latest
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play an apartment, a rental or a dorm.
What happens when the bug occurs? Walls don't go down since a few years back.
What do you expect to see? Walls going down.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. It happened after a patch 2,5 years ago. Reported numerous times by many players, but so far ignored by EA.

My sim is somewhere in her apartment, but where?
I surely thought this game killing bug would've been fixed by now. I's "only" two and a half years old and renders several packs with apartments, rentals and dorms unplayable.

If you click on the sims icon at the bottom the camera will center on the sim. On your image the walls are down however you have other things in the way. Looks like cupboards and large mirrors. You can rotate the view to get a better look.

@jpkarlsen Two years ago wall decorations, doors, pillars etc went down with the walls, then EA messed it up with a patch and apparently refuse to fix it.

Doors are indeed a current issue since for rent. From what I read they are working on a solution for that.

@elliebreton Pretty sure it was confirmed that it's a very difficult issue and requires a very in depth investigation to find out what is causing it.

Thank goodness!!! As soon as I heard there was a big patch coming I ran to this forum

This is hopeful! I hope it'll be included in the next update. The laundry list mentioned even though the items on the list are in review, there's no guarantee for an immediate fix. Does anyone know when the next update will be? I'll be sooo happy when walls and doors cutaway properly in residential rentals.

• In apartments, University dorms, and penthouses: Walls and doors will now cut away properly in wall down/cutaway viewing mode. Adjusted checks for exterior walls and inactive units.
