[TO ADD] [CD] Vet clinic staff won't do anything for hours

It's happened to me twice already as a customer at the vet. Hours go by and my pet never gets examined.

I have no mods and no CC, it started happening after the last patch (I did download a few stuff packs afterwards, but everything is updated and repaired).

I found out that this happens if the employee has a pet that needs surgery, if you treat the pet yourself while the employee is doing nothing the employee will get back to work once you've cured the pet.

This just started happening to me after the latest patch last Tuesday, PC 1.38.49.102.

Steps Taken

• Cleared cache
• Fixed game through Origin menu
• Started new game to test, Vets works perfectly fine in new game file

Well, now it seems to be working again! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I cleared the Cache one more time before restarting, after doing the Fix through origin, so maybe that fixed it.

I am also having this issue, I do own Dine out, but I don't have the issue with that pack, yes the staff will slack off in dine out, but if I critcize them or train them, they get back to work.In Cats & Dogs they won't.Instead they stand around siniging, reading books etc.

Sam issue here. The issue occurs when running a vet and when visiting.

Took one of my cats to the vet and there were two sims working. One was doing absolutely nothing and the other had taken the person that checked in before me and proceeded to do nothing but "comfort" the pet for six hours. I tried shift clicking and resetting both the working sims and they went back to doing the same things. I reset the "comforting" sim and the patient she was comforting, and again they went back to the same thing.

I had to leave the lot completely, and come back then finally the sim that was doing nothing took my pet back. The "comforting" sim was still doing just that with the same pet.

When running the vet, even when employees are happy they more often than not do nothing, or spend hours doing the same interaction with one pet on the table and get nothing accomplished. I have to constantly reset the working sim and take over the examination because they will not do it.

I'm going to add to this as my problem isn't exactly what the topic issue is but related. I have two employees in my vet clinic. Both are level 3 and show as very satisfied. I see them examine pets and then the examination table goes down and they stop examining the pet. Sometimes they try to examine the pet again but the table goes back down again. Every time I have taken over the examination the pets are stressed to a point where they will not let you examine them without calming them first. I've seen my employees doing the calm/soothe action but my guess is that it isn't actually calming the pets. So I think as least part of the problem with vet clinic staff not doing anything is they cannot calm pets.

I have the same problem, only that I don't own the clinic I'm just a customer. If my pet is sick, I go there, check in, wait for the doctor, and when he/she takes my pet into the table, they just stand there and do nothing. Then the table goes down and my pet is not cured. Then I have to start again. It takes hours, even days before my pet is cured. So frustrating!

Vet clinic staff will now work AS EXPECTED even if a TV or computer are on the lot. We had to update our staff policy.

This is the same thing that happens to me. I have a couple who own a vet, with three employees. So give vets. And we get through about 12 patients. I stay at home while it’s open and the customer could is in the 40s-50s! With thousands more in profits. I guess that’s good, but I like the gameplay. I want to further the vet but I don’t know I’ll ever get past 3.5 stars with these weird inconsistencies.
