No, it's not similar because in the link you provided the person was able to take out the stuff from family inventory and place it, but couldn't interact with it.

In my case I can't even place anything because those objects vanish when trying to place them which I thought in my explanation I clearly stated that.

This is a very old thread.

 

Best if you created a new report.

 

Make sure your game is updated to yesterdays patch and you have no mods installed to test it.

It's now 2019 and I'm still having this issue.

It's frustrating when trying to move and use items in the sims inventory because it just keeps scrolling back to the top!
