Extreme Lag After Recent Patch

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Every Expansion, Game, and Stuff pack is installed.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just play the game.
What happens when the bug occurs? After this recent patch, my game has been extremely laggy. The screen tears and the UI is slow and clunky. Menus take several seconds to load.
What do you expect to see? Slow and laggy performance.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. After this patch, my game has become full of lag.

Before this patch, my game wouldn't run what I call perfect, but it was much smoother than it is right now. After I updated my game, I noticed more lag and screen-tearing. I have a gaming PC too so it should not be performing this poorly. I can run Cyberpunk with little to no visual lag. However, The Sims 4 is extremely laggy.

There's been weird lag after snowy escape. I usually get the lag to sort itself out by pressing Esc. and closing the menu right back. I've also heard it can be solved by emptying notifications but I haven't had consistent results with that.

does your clock stop during lag? Mine stops and then goes forward 20 sim minutes or so, cant interact with anything while this occurs

Yeah that works sometimes but not always. Is EA going to fix this??
