Noticed an issue when I tried to make a room longer.
1 - I placed a room (either a styled room or using the room tool)
2 - I deleted a wall using the sledgehammer tool.
3 - I build three individual walls to make a single larger enclosed space.
-- When I then go to build on the upper floor, the space above the extended space is not recognised as being internal to the house and I cannot build above it or place a room there.
Work-around
Adding the walls, before removing makes the game work as expected. ie, performing the steps above in the order 1,3,2 doesn't exhibit the bug.
Thanks
PS I am playing on the Mac version.

This does happen, but you can still work with the upper space in a couple of ways: 1) drag the original room out to fill the manually built space (if you grab the right arrow, it only fills the space you added); this will place flooring on the upper level, or 2) add a flat to the upper level and drag it out to create flooring where you need it, then resize it to get rid of the excess.
