Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? The bug appears when you turn on the game, after the initial loading screen, when you click on "Resume Game" it will take you to the worlds page. Sometimes the error message will appear immediately, other times it will happen when you click into the world of your current game and then click into the household the error message will appear.
What happens when the bug occurs? An error message appears that says: "The game failed to load. Error Code: 123:1034405:df7e76d8. It is recommended that you relaunch the game." Upon relaunching the code still appears and I cannot play the game.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to play the game.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. It occurred after the most recent update which I downloaded on 11/02/2024

An error message appears that says: "The game failed to load. Error Code: 123:1034405:df7e76d8. It is recommended that you relaunch the game."

Upon relaunching the code still appears and I cannot play the game.

Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?

Best is to delete the ones you have, then trigger the error and check if new ones are created.

If that is the case, please upload them to a new post in this thread.

Please either create a .rar file to upload or copy/paste the content into your post.

Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Uploading the file is meant for troubleshooting.

@crinrict I did it and when I restart the game, I still have the error and a new LastException file is created :

@crinrict @bastlepr So instead of clicking "Resume" on my game, I clicked "Load Game" and chose another save file. That had no problem. So I went back and tried to load the original game that gave me the error, but I couldn't do it. So instead I chose a different household to play but in the same save file. That worked and I played that household for maybe 30 seconds. I then went to "Manage Worlds" and went back to the original problem household and it worked. I restarted the game and now the household works just fine.

Hi Sim lovers. I’m still getting the error and it’s forcing me to reload every time when I want to play the household I created. But if I go to one of the households that comes with the game it lets me play it through. I don’t really understand the whole mod thing and I don’t think I’ve ever tried one. Just some of the cheats and placing buildings that other gamers have created. I’m trying to finish my Reaper challenge but the same thing keeps happening and I’m getting extra frustrated. Any suggestions?

Could you also check if you have a file called LastExceptions in your documents folder.

If so, open it in a text editor, copy the text and paste it in a post here.

To make sure, the exception is current, delete all the ones you currently have, go in the game and trigger the error, then check if a new file is created.
