Earbuds are not working

★ Novice

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.82.99.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When trying to use earbuds.
What happens when the bug occurs? Whenever I click on the earbuds in any sims' inventory, only option I get is Place in World. I can't listen to music or do anything else with the earbuds.
What do you expect to see? I want to use my earbuds properly??
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Whenever I click on the earbuds in any sims' inventory, only option I get is Place in World. I can't listen to music or do anything else with the earbuds. I don't have any CC or mods that anyhow may affect earbuds.

@yellowgrill Mods unrelated to earbuds can also cause issues... First thing you need to do is trying to test the game without them. Put your Mods folder on Desktop, delete the localthumbcache.package file in The Sims 4 folder, and restart the game without the mods. If the problem is solved, you need to use the 50/50 method to find out which mod is the responsible. Maybe you only need to find an updated version, or worst case scenario, you'll delete that particular mod.
