Summarize your bug The EA Desktop App is crashing my graphics card driver.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? The EA Desktop App is crashing my graphics card driver. Every time I start the app both my screens crash to black and come back and the app is not responding. It will usually crash or I have to manually close it since it's not responding. I have to restart the app a few times before it will finally work.
What happens when the bug occurs? Both my monitors will go black as soon as the app starts up then will come back. This is only happening with the EA App nothing else.
What do you expect to see? The desktop app.

Windows 11

Nvidia Driver 496.76

Tried a repair but would just throw an error. Uninstalling/Reinstalling the issue still persists.

Hi @NaiIer,

That a new issue that I haven't encountered before. I also tried launching the EA app and I did not have any problems.

As I couldn't repro the black screens/crashes and I haven't seen any further reports, it could be a local issue on the PC.

Which GPU are you using and do you have the latest drivers installed?

Another solution could be uninstalling the drivers with DDU and then reinstalling the drivers. Let me know if it works.

Did you find a fix for this? I am now running into the same issue as well with EA desktop. In my case this bug occurs every time I launch EA desktop. Sometimes my monitors don't come back from blackscreen and I am forced to restart my pc. I am on windows 10 and also running driver 496.76 with GTX 1660ti. One strange thing I noticed is that this started occurring after I connected my headphones through the audio passthrough on my monitor.

Hey @AnxientDuc,

Sorry for the late reply, I was on holidays for a while.

Do you still experience issues, even when you have the headphones removed from your monitor? I did see some higher crash rates for the EA app for a specific version of the app, on which version are you?

Is there already a solution? I have the same problem.

As Origin is not working anymore, I'm not able to play any more EA games.

It's January 2024. The same issue these people encountered 3 years ago with no reply or fix watsoever I am now encountering since yesterday.

First, while playing EAFC24 the game crashed giving me these prompts (attached imagaes) and was not able to get past the loading screen.

Then as I tried to foolishly verify the game files (thinking it was an issue with the game) I realized the EA App was unresponsive. After a few times of closing and reopening the app I realized that it was the EA app that was crashing my graphic drivers.
I then made sure I have everything up to date (drivers, app versions, windows, ecc...), even went as far as reimaging my computer to a previous state from a few days ago but nothing.
Opening the app crashes the drivers to a black screen and unresponsive state as soon as I try to type my password in the login prompt.

Please advise on how to solve the problem (if that is possible on our end).
