Dual scope not working on PC with xbox controller

Summarize your bug I use an xbox controller while playing on PC. When playing as specialist, if I attach the dual scope, I cannot use the second magnification. Normally by pressing the melee button, I could zoom in further. But I cannot do it any longer.

In what game mode did the bug occur? Galactic Assault
What is your time zone? PNT (MST) - GMT - 7:00
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Use xbox controller on PC, play specialist, attach dual scope, try to use second magnification by pressing melee button on controller.
What happens when the bug occurs? Scope does not zoom in further.
What do you expect to see? Scope should go to second magnification level.

However, when playing as specialist and equipping the dual scope that switches between magnification, pressing melee on the controller does not zoom in to the second zoom. However if I press v (default keyboard melee) it will zoom in.

Same problem, but I'm using a Steam Controller -- which I think get's interpreted by the game as an xbox controller.

Same problem here.  Xbox One controller on Windows 10.

I confirmed that the dual zoom is actually working in the game with the keyboard.  Definitely does not work on the controller.

xbox one controller on pc, its not using the controller melee button press so all the zoom unlocks will be useless until this is fixed. surely it cant be THAT hard to program?
