Franchise mode freezing when creating a team

Every time I go to create a team in franchise mode or even in create a team from the menus the game freezes and it boots me back to the dashboard,  I tried creating a team 3 different times putting about 3 hours total into creating a team and each time it froze and booted me back erasing all progress.  Anyone else having this issue?  Pretty bad issue for an $80 game

I downloaded the update yesterday.  It appears to have been fixed for me.  It also added the Adidas jerseys for the create a team which is a nice touch.  Anyone else seeing a fix with this update?

I keeping getting this screen during different time when navigating through Franchise mode. It worked fine last night but has been so buggy this morning.

Spent 30+ minutes creating a team to be the 32nd team in franchise mode.. right before i could hit save the game crashed completely. this is the 4th total time nhl 19 has crashed on me since drop.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? During the process of setting up the 32nd team franchise mode. I was editing the team jerseys doing the alternative one and the game crashes.
What happens when the bug occurs? Game crashes and returns to PS4 home screen.
What do you expect to see? Would like to not waste over an hour of my time setting up the franchise only to have it crash on me. This is the second time this has occurred, the last time was on Thursday evening.
