Connection time-outs when matchmaking with party

What happens when the bug occurs? I get a connection timeout to the EA servers.
What should be happening instead? I should connect to the server with my party members
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Party up with other members and start matchmaking. Wait to connect to server, and see if any party member gets left behind in the party lobby.
When matchmaking with a party, we get matched, and the party members all attempt to connect to the server. My other party members connect fine, and I see their avatars go dark, and the status "In a match" appears under their usernames (screenshot). However, I get stuck connecting to server. After waiting 1min+ to connect, I am met with a "Connection to server timed out" (screenshot).
This happens very frequently, around 30-50% of times my party attempts to connect to a server.
This has only started happening with the latest Apex Legends update (2/19/19).
After disconnecting and reconnecting, the next attempt to connect to a server as a party works reliably. The following time, however, usually fails.
