Computer won't recognize audio from Sims 4

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Discover University
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Launch game
What happens when the bug occurs? Audio does not work. No sound and Sims doesn't even show up on the volume mixer. Have tried deleting options and catch from documents file, reinstalling game, everything. Nothing works.
What do you expect to see? The audio to work.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
