Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It just started happening a day or so ago, so I can’t give you an exact percentage on how often it happens. When I send a Sim to do a task such as work a long shift at a career or do a Thanksgiving event, different characters in different events, there are no action options. It just started happening or dairy or so ago, so I can’t give you an exact percentage on how often it happens. It shows they are in an event but I cannot progress it faster or choose what I want them to do and eventually the event or job will end but I cannot make it go faster or choose the tasks during.

Lots of you have this issue, where you can't start the Harvestfest events at home, restaurant or cafe:

If you don't see the bubbles to help your Sim, I'm hoping this will be resolved when the event ends. Seeing it's related I'd suggest contacting EA for this bug as well.

You can do so through The Sims Mobile app. Open the side menu, choose the gear icon, then the button with 'Help'.
This will open your browser, scroll down until you see 'Contact Us' and choose 'Technical Support'.

Same problem here @SimGuruMaaike but it’s only happening with the quest event and i’ve gone back and forth from my house to get back to the event to see if that made the actions reappear and force closed 4 times now, but theres been no change.

Same problem here with the restaurant event

I experienced this earlier today, too, but as one more piece of information, between my starting the cafe event and getting stuck in the cafe event with no options, I logged in once and the game seemed to think this sim was in a different short event that he had been in earlier in the day. It seems like the game may be having issues tracking what our sims are doing (as if different servers aren't quite syncing up the information about which event our sims are currently doing) since the most recent update.

I'm having this problem too after taking restaurant quest. It runs as usual at first, I managed to progress until a quarter bar. Then I close the game to let my sims refill their energy. When I go back to the game, I noticed that all sims are doing different events than what I assign them the last time. After closing game about 5 times, it goes back to normal, but action options in restaurant events are gone. I managed to finish it though, but by waiting the event to finish itself.

Also happening to me since the harvest event started. Also other strange stuff happening like this morning suddenly was missing options for tasks, i had quick and long shift at work to choose from but standard wasn’t there! 😮

Hey, i too had the same problem and took a screenshot while I could. There were no activity stars to speed up the 'harvest cooking at the restaurant' event. Didn't have any surprising choices active either..
