Summarize your bug Blocked players are no longer being blocked in chat. It used to be that if you wanted to mute a player, you could go to their Origin profile and block them. Origin is reporting the players as blocked, but their chat is still coming through.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Block a player via their Origin profile. Go back to game, have them chat. See their chat appear for you.
What happens when the bug occurs? The blocked player's chat is appearing.
What should be happening instead? A blocked player's chat should not be displayed.
This happens on all game modes, but your bug report tool doesn't have an option for "all", so I set it to Conquest.

I've given up on DICE/EA fixing this.
There is one player who routinely appears in my game and makes liberal use of the n-word.
He's been doing it for more than a year now.Apparently, this behavior is acceptable to DICE/EA.
Very disappointing (especially since blocking players worked in BF1).
@dogness
It's absolutely unacceptable and EA is taking steps to combat toxicity in our games. Some players unfortunately will get crafty by going around word filters and we'll continue to improve upon those filters, but please report abusive players to our teams via the proper tools in our games. We also have our reporting tool at Help.EA.com where a form can be filled out. Any screenshots of what you're experiencing from this player is always beneficial to our teams during these investigations too.
Thank you for raising this concern to up and I'm sorry you had to experience that type of behavior.

No, I have players that I know I have blocked a long time ago (some even back in BF1) who continue to not have their chat blocked.
In BF1, when you blocked a player via Origin, they were blocked immediately.
BFV appears to be doing no blocking.

this has been working - but since 6.0. (or 5.2. but I m sure its newer) the blocked players still appears in the chat - like @dogness mentioned. this is really annoying if you have some spammers or children you don't want to read..
edit;// please fix!

You might be able to report for harassment.
I have to admit I start hiding the chat more and more or only open squad or team cheat.
You can manage this with H. (on pc)
And don't take things personal is my advice also for real life. Things happen and will always do. That doesn't mean we need to accept everything hence it's good this bug is reported. But we should not get people in our heads.. When you feel offended, report player and hide chat and focus back on the game.

Sadly, the in-game tools are very clumsy to use and don't always work.
Lately, for whatever reason, when I ask BFV to show me a player profile via the scoreboard, Origin opens a blank window.
So, now I have to go to the friends list and search for the player's name (which can be difficult for some players with hard to read names such as "011100001111100011011".
It is good to know about help.ea.com. I will try that out if I have screenshots.
However, the original issues persists. If I block a player via Origin, that is supposed to block their chat from appearing in my game. This has worked for years and stopped working with BFV. My problems with toxicity would be all but eliminated if this feature worked (because I could simply block toxic players).

@dogness , yes for me it is also opening a blank screen now.
But after alt tab or closing BFV the blank screen appears to load the profile.
So only not working when actively being in game.
Thanks for confirming it is not just me.
