Cantina battle imbalance

Have to admit I do love this game, starwars and squad battles!!! But recently I have found squad battles taking the mick! I deliberately battled a player with 1000 less power than me, using a squad of 5 jedi. I got my arse handed to me in a basket, all five of my jedi killed and only able to kill 2 enemies. They were all 5 levels lower then my fighters yet were able to do over 2000 damage at a time, either I'm doing something wrong or the battles are seriously imbalanced!
