Can't sign into google play

I can play as a guest but I've tried my phone, my tablet and my pc with android emulators and none of them will allow me to sign into my google play account in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes.  I can get into Google Play itself just fine and I'm signed into it and I can download stuff from there, just not in SWGOH! Please help I don't want to miss a day of logging in and not get Anakin Skywalker.

How exactly have you been going about signing in? What happens on your screen then?

I am just trying to find out the flow and where it breaks for you.
