@Phantomlover1717 have you tested this yet? It's still happening
August 2018
Still working on it @Fuzzernutter. Had some kids that needed to replace my Sims, they are all retired now, just not yet leaving the house.

@Phantomlover1717 when they retire, I have not been waiting for the birthday cake because the retirement events have not been working. I just move them out after they retire so I don't know if that is making a difference on my issue. I just retired another one but I'll wait for the birthday cake and see what happens. It could be the move out option causing all this

That could indeed be the issue. Lets both test this with the cake!

With the cake I can't reproduce the issue.

@Phantomlover1717 I got the birthday cake and can't socialize with the retired sim. It seems move out is a problem with retired Sims. When you also give your sim to another player this would be like using the move out option. This is probably why retirement is messing up when passing your sim off to another player. The only thing we need to check now is player @BlueWizardRob his Sims dont look retired in my game. Need to ask him if he is waiting for the cake on retirement or using move out

I'm still trying to figure out if that is intended that way or not.

@Phantomlover1717 I don't believe it is supposed to be that way. Retired sims are supposed to be purged to avoid game performance issues. Also the issue where retired sims don't look retired and still look young. That should not be that way.
