Unable to play game after most recent update

It’s been 4 days since I’m not able to play the game. No updates re the issue makes the situation even more disappointing(

Hey guys, anyone who is having this issue but hasn’t clicked “me too” on the original post yet, can you click “me too” (pretty please). Only 21 people have clicked “me too” so far and I’m assuming the more gamers who have the problem, the higher up the list of priorities the issue gets.

Also having the exact same issue. I’m having it on PS4 though. I installed the recent update a few days ago and have been played everyday since but today is the only day I’ve experienced this issue. I didn’t install anything between that time though.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Load a sim on an affected file
What happens when the bug occurs? I can not load my saved sims
What do you expect to see? My sims to be playable
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I try to load my sim family and it sends me an error code (

I can not load my family and it states to restart the program. I’ve restarted the program and still have the same error code. I made a new family on the same save and it also gives me the same error code and tells me to restart the program. Until this is fixed I literally can not play sims 4.
