Is any more info needed by the Sims team(s)? Someone from @EAHelp on Twitter asked me to post on here, but it's not clear what exactly they wanted me to post.
My error is identical in all ways to the OP, except I have more packs. All I can really add is that I'm going via Origin, and that the PC I'm using is a laptop. Also, the error started after Origin auto-downloaded the new eco patches (I do NOT have the eco game), and played for a bit. My elderly resident died, causing their child to be taken back by the state. after this, I created a new Sim and tried to move them in to the same lot (too expensive), before finally trying to move them in to an empty lot. The game entered its standard loading screen, but as the game finished loading and the music changes for the enter lot bit, it goes to the 'select a world' screen with the error message. Now, this problem happens any time I try to enter any lot (unless I'm entering on build mode).
