[CL] Festival disappeared when re-loading game [ Edited ]

How often does the bug occur? Every time
What is your current game version number? 1.97.62.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except werewolves and some kits
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? During a festival, pause the game, save it, quit the game, then reload into the same game.
What happens when the bug occurs? Upon reloading the save, the festival objects have all disappeared. It appears the festival is still happening as the booth vendors are still in the same spot, but there is no booth and nothing else to do. The festival/objects are not in the sky.
What do you expect to see? For the game to be in the exact same state upon reloading the save, including the festival and items so that we can continue the festival activities.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes but they were removed to test also.

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Unsure

Hi everyone!

I was playing my game earlier today and my Sims were at the Romance Festival - everything looked normal, with the tables, food booths, sakura table, etc. I had to get off the computer, so I saved my game and quit. I've come back to it, just a few hours later, only to find that all the festival objects are gone. The festival is still happening, and the food booth vendors are hanging around at the "booth" which is invisible.

I have restarted the game a few times, and deleted the localthumbcache, but nothing restores the festival objects.

I am playing on a PC, with the most updated version: PC: 1.97.42.1030

@RenegadeKittyOG Could you check if the stalls are up in the air somewhere ?

@crinrict  Thank you for replying - I looked in the air and surrounding area, there are no booths, tables, etc. floating around. When I recover a version from before the festival starts, everything is fine. It seems like somehow by saving while the festival was going on caused the issue. So now they're just hanging around with nothing there. When I click on the vendors themselves, there are no options, and clicking around them doesn't pull up any booth menus, either.

Edit - I forgot to mention in my original post, but I did also try switching between build mode (she lives in the apartment next to the festival), as well as CAS mode, and returning to the festival doesn't bring back the items.

@crinrictSorry for the delay and thank you for your post. I did try, in a recovered save, going into CAS and back out, and the food stalls do disappear with the vendors standing there. Unlike that post, however, this isn't happening in the Spice district, it's in the Fashion District. I also have looked in the sky and I don't see the stalls there.

Due to this, I think it may be linked. I didn't go into CAS or Manage Worlds during the festival, but I did exit the game and come back which may have a similar effect. It looks like there is no fix, though. Is it possible they are spawning and staying forever in the sky (IF they are in the sky)? Is the save corrupt now?

@RenegadeKittyOG I don't think the district matters. I've never had the issue myself or tested saves so I don't know if there's a way to get them back.

I experienced the same thing recently. Was playing in the Fashion District and GeekCon appeared. Went down to participate, but had to stop and save the game to take care of something else.

After reloading, even though there were several hours left for GeekCon to be running, upon loading in, the festival had disappeared, and all the sims were standing in the empty street, in the positions they were in during the festival before the save i.e. the vendors were still standing where their booths previously were.

I'm pretty sure you could save and resume a festival in the past. I don't think the festival objects suddenly teleported away into the air - it looks more like the game considered the festival was over upon reloading and despawned it.

@simvasion Oh, that's possible. I'll try it on a throwaway save during a festival before I complete the objectives and see if they disappear which would indicate the game thinks the festival is over. I'd already completed the one objective in my game so they were just enjoying the festival.
