Product: Madden NFL 19
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Which console generation do you have? PlayStation 4
What is your gamertag/PSN ID? -
Date/time issue occurred 1/27/2019 4:50
What type of issue do you have? Crash/Freeze
Which mode has this happened in? Franchise Mode
Which part of the mode? Cloud
Summarize your bug Everytime the one member in my league starts an online game, there is a desync but only when he is playing in the game. It completly ruins the purpose of an online league if we can not play. The desync happens during the game too. The last time it happened was during the second quarter.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Idk, only happens when he is playing.
What happens when the bug occurs? The bug cause the online cfm game to go back to the menu losing all progress
What do you expect to see? A game that can run online fine, especially when I only buy to play cfm. We're in like our 4th season and this literally ruins the whole thing
PS4 Crash Reporting: Please copy the text you put in the crash report here. Doesnt the app only the game were in
What is the AMD or Nvidia Model Number of your graphics card? idk
Enter RAM memory size in GB idk

Hey @Fcbarca925  do you know what both your NAT types are for the PS4? There are a variety of things that can lead up to a desync. It could simply be a weak connection among you two and so the game eventually drops or there are some things on the backend that we can adjust to keep you both connected.

We have some basic troubleshooting steps in here that are worth a look at first. https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/

If you know how to log into your router's admin settings you can open up ports listed for the game. This will allow the information to flow a little easier back and forth from your network to our servers. https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/opening-tcp-or-udp-ports-for-connection-issues/

I've been in situations in our league where a desync can happen mid game and our league has 10 minute quarters, so the games take a lot longer to play than standard settings. it can indeed be frustrating, so we're here to help your league work this out.

Seeing as how this has been a known issue since launch and this still hasn't been resolved, this is an EA server issue no doubt. Playing on Xbox one, both of our NAT types were open, tried to play 6 times and got desync early in the 1st quarter every time. And before you can claim that we were having issues connecting to each other, we played a full 12 minute quarter game of 2k19 before attempt #5 with no issues at all. What say you, Blueberry?

@bhustlin142

2K19 is not one of our games so the path your connection takes to their servers can yield different results. We have a UO Trace route tool on our website where you can see if the connection is being disrupted along the way to our servers, check ping average, packet loss, etc. It's worth running that tool real quick on a PC to see if there is a server site that's causing the issue, not necessarily your actual connection.

We know this stuff can be super frustrating to deal with and are here to help keep you on the field. Can you let me know the following:

  1. Are you both on the same Internet Protocol? (IPv6, IPv4, or both. This shows up under Xbox Network Settings where you see your NAT type)
  2. Do you both gave ports opened that are listed for Madden 19?
  3. Are you on a wired or WiFi connection? If you are on WiFi, are you playing on a different level of the house than where your router is located?
  4. Does your router have the latest firmware update?
  5. Does your router support QoS?
  6. Have you both recently performed a power cycle with the console and network?
    1. Power Cycle the Console

      1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
      2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

      1. Plug the console power cable back in.
      2. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

      Clear Mac Address

      1. Clear the MAC Address: From the Xbox dashboard select Settings>All Settings>Network>Network Settings>Advanced Settings>Alternate MAC address>Clear, then restart your Xbox.

      Reboot the Network

      1. Unplug the modem/router power for about 5 minutes to refresh the network. A fresh connection can help clear up most basic connectivity issues.
