What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Cottage Living, Journey to Batuu, Laundry Day Stuff Pack, Spooky Stuff Pack, and the kits.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Create a dog with the Independent trait and have a sim "let out" the dog.
What happens when the bug occurs? After letting out an Independent dog, they will eventually return home, approach the sim, and whimper with the dog leash thought bubble above its head.
What do you expect to see? Independent dogs not complaining about wanting to walk after being let out by my sim.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
I hope it's not designed by choice because this makes Independent dogs' ability to walk themselves useless.
