Boys AT rifle with the AP round upgrade does no damage to vehicles. [ Edited ]

Summarize your bug When u get to weapon level 4 on the Boys AT rifle and select the AP round for more damage on tanks it will do no damage just like the medic carbine that had a grenade launcher bug.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Level the Boys to 4 and give it the AP round upgrade and shoot at vehicles.
What happens when the bug occurs? Instead of doing any damage it does no damage to tanks.
What should be happening instead? Do more damage then the default round of the Boys AT rifle

Unfortunatly i did not save any gameplay but as told above if u upgrade the boys with the AP rounds its totally useless against vehicles because it will not do any damage at all.

Good to know that even after the assignments are bugged out that the gun its self is bugged...

And its not the 1st time that they release a weapons with a broken specialisation. The m28 its improved grenades were also bugged. We need CTE so stuff like this can be fixed before it even goes out to the public.

And i had no issues with the overall assignments for it, it only reset the weapon level once for me back to 0 and after that it no issues besides the specialisation issue.

It appears to be specifically tanks that aren't taking damage from it. Shooting at half tracks and planes did damage.

Can DICE clarify - perhaps that is by design? Isn't that what made the gun fail in real life too?

Yes the gun became pretty much obsolete during the war when the bazooka and panzerfaust/panzerschreck was invented. But it still should have done some damage. They literally made the same mistake with this gun while developing it ingame as with the m28 tromboncino grenade launcher in previous patch.

I have the same bug on Playstation 4. AP round makes only damage when shot on the back of the tank closely. In any other case, shot round just *BUFFFSS* on the surface of the tank.

The gun will do a small amount of damage to heavy armoured tanks like Tiger 1, but for light tanks like the staghound or armour cars it's relatively effective but not as effective as Panzerfaust shot would be.

Hi Atic,

I noticed that its better against light vehicles yes but still the APCR round is bugged because when u equip the round you won't do any damage at tanks. I love the gun tho, sound is amazing and really satisfying if u land a headshot kill from long range :P

The APCR bullets are indeed bugged. When equipped they will no longer do any damage to tanks. They work on personnel carriers, but not on anything more armored than that. This is similar to the Trombone where the upgraded grenade launcher did no damage to vehicles.

Please pass this bug on to the devs.
