Battlefront 2’s old master really screwed up

I want to talk about something you don't mention above: This update completely wasted my time and overall want to play the game.
How accessible is the current experience? Annoying, but OK
Summarize what in the product is difficult to use. They updated ‘old master’ real recently. It’s 5/28 2020. I was nearly done my annoying experience trying to grind Darth Maul’s new skin. Only available through kills with Darth Mail. 5,000 of them. That’s hard. That’s long. I was nearly done. They reset me back to 0/5000. Like Okay. Give me a huge break.
How is this making it more difficult? Please
How can we reproduce this experience? Fix this

That isn’t okay. Wow how terribly rude of E.A. To think hey. Maybe we’ll make it easier by making it so all the siths can earn toward the 5,000 but oh yay any progress you made haha sorry .
