Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.52.100.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get Famous, City Living, Cats and Dogs, Seasons, Get To Work, Get Together, Vampires, Parenthood, StrangerVille
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Launch the Sims 4; select a game; play a sims family; part of the stair railings disappear in a multi-story house.
What happens when the bug occurs? While I was playing my game, part of the stair railings disappeared and did not come back into view.
What do you expect to see? The stair railings remain intact throughout the game.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
note: this happened to me while I was playing my saved game 1 and I tried going into build/buy mode to replace stairs/stair railings; leaving the family and going back into family; restarting the game; repairing the game; nothing fixes this.

I see the exact same thing at the Umbrage Manor, the stairs are partially not there. But it's like you said, it's because walls are cutting into the stairs. I tried going back to an older version of the game, from a couple years back, and I'm seeing the same thing. So yeah, I'm gonna say that it's always worked like this, and by design.

@crinrict I found the cause of this problem. The walls were cutting into the stairs. I just removed the extra wall and moved one other over. I can see the railings in full form now. Thanks though.
