Whenever you light candles on birthday cake and blow them off with Sim he ages, no matter the age day meter. You can make senior from a child in matter of minutes.

It's not a bug, it's intended to work that way.

The only thing you can't do is to move to the moment of death and kill an elder with a birthday cake.

I accidentally had the wrong sim blow out the candles and was freaking out. If anyone else does this just enable testing cheats and enter cas.fulleditmode then go into CAS and you can age them back down again.
