Hi there,
Testing just done:
- activate the full screen mode;
- activate the vsync.
Nothing changed.
"Day one patch" did NOTHING on this bug.
- Launched the game;
- Exited the start area ;
- Activate the forge;
-> The javelin start to dipslay and the image is suddenly freezed and so do i my computer.
Launching the game tomorrow? SERIOUSLY?
This was the last time of my life i trusted EA.
My computer runs perfectly any game (including the cursed born Mass Effect Andromeda) EXCEPT Anthem.
No comment...

Does it help if you turn on vsync? I heard this helped some for the 100% cpu problem.
You might have heard from me or others. For me v-sync : on helped only in combination with Borderless. It did not help on it's own account.

This fixed this issue for me.
Set to FULL SCREEN
Set graphics to High
Try turning vsync on if it does not help turn it off.
I have RYZEN 5 2600X
GTX 1080
16G ram
I do not get much better than 60-65 fps but the freezing stopped. If I set to windowed or borderless my frames go up but cpu starts working harder than the gpu.

So of interesting note.
The fullscreen borederless and v-sync on makes the game much smoother for me. Fixes the FPS and stuttering issues. However the darn thing still spins up my CPU to 100% till it freezes and I have to kill it. Alt+f4 used to kill it totally but now that just kills the window and keeps the game running under origin under task manager and uses 70% CPU power.

Anybody tried disabling superfetch yet?
Win+R
services.msc
scroll till you find superfetch and disable it and end the running process.
