@furryEli   Hi!  Thanks for the reply!  I'm still curious though if you used PS cloud or USB.  I don't currently have a subscription for PS cloud storage.  When I tried moving my files to USB storage, it moved the game app data along with the save data.  I wasn't able to delete the game data from my system because it recognized the game was saved to USB storage.

@furryEli   Hello again!  I didn't see your question until after I posted my last reply.  The answer is yes, sort of.  Some users have reported it hasn't worked for them though.  The potential workaround for PC / Mac users can be found here.

If anyone on PC / Mac wants to try using this guide, it's important to follow all the steps provided.  It's also important to note that using these workarounds (PC / Mac and console) will basically reset the event for your new sim household at the last point that was completed but will not give the new sims any inventory item rewards (like potions) that were earned from completed tasks.  Inventory items, if needed, can be purchased through the Rewards Store or in Build Buy mode.

@JonaO703 I used my ps+ cloud if your still testing it try just deleting the user data file off storage and see if it works.

I gotta catch myself and my friend up are stuff failed on week three and his PlayStations power supply tripped and ate dirt and doesn’t run anymore otherwise I’d test it myself  

 I’ll test after i finish my challenges I’ll be on sims for 7 hours now so I’ll test it more in a while

@JonaO703 I can also join a PlayStation party I can work stuff out and explain stuff easier verbally and see if we can track it down further and narrow the down where the break point is

there is a trigger for it and it seems very particular

@furryEli     I really appreciate your willingness to help other players!  I primarily play on PC and have completed the event, after using the guide I shared earlier.  Based on what you and others have said, I believe the console workaround only works through copying saves to the cloud and will not work with a USB storage device.  I wanted to make that clear for other console users.  A friend of mine told me that it worked for her on Xbox which provides dedicated cloud storage.  However, PS cloud storage is only available with a paid subscription to PS+.

Regarding the idea to delete User Data, I'm assuming that will impact other games stored on the console.  So, if users want to try that, they will likely need to first save all game data and not just TS4 data.  EDIT: Nevermind this last part, I misunderstood that there is a User Data file per game.

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? The game event has been stuck on week 3 for weeks now!
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? If you have a console they have no solution to fix the events
What happens when the bug occurs? The reaper logos show up but no missions will come up. Just the logo itself will.
What do you expect to see? I expect the community to fixed the solution by now and give us all the stuff we missed out since the event is ending soon. We all never got a chance to collect our rewards, it’s a bummer.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

on my PlayStation I am still stacked on week 3 in the Grim Reaper’s Event!!! It’s a bummer how the sims will continues to remind us about the event yet not reply to us whenever we just want our event fixed. Console players, I know how you feel. I’ve at this point given up & stopped trying because the sims never cared to fixed the solution. I expect them to give us at least the rewards that we’ve missed out for free. 
I noticed how many angry fans are in the replies for twitter yet I believed they’re ignoring us!!! Please just solve this. It’s been week. I’m so close to just deleting the game and never coming back.

Don’t delete the game

or it’s data. I did that and the event never showed up still   !!!

  @BukiBuu im pretty sure you might of did something wrong on your end i deliberately broke mine repeatedly with my old broken data and fixed it 5 times to test it and it worked every time with the same steps I posted perviously.

all deleting user data is supposed to do on on console is reset all of your settings to default

(it’s the data for your settings).

if you can please elaborate more on what you did exactly. 

@JonaO703 Im going to go onto my friends account now and test it if it works there I’m gonna be more sure that it’s a not a hit or miss fix like pc (I’ll let you know in 2-5 minutes)
