[ARCHIVED] Reaper's Rewards: Grim Icon Visible But No Quests Available [ Edited ]

Hey all!

This thread is for those of you who see the Events tab (seen below) on the Main Menu and have the Grim icon in game, but do not see any quests available AKA "No Plumbob Icons".

Please comment in this thread with a screenshot of your Reaper's Rewards UI in Live mode (seen below) showing the tab for the week that isn't completing (If you can also show the end of your reward XP timeline so that we can compare what the game believes your XP to be vs the data we have stored, that would also be helpful):

Note: This issue has a potential fix via renaming or moving The Sims 4 folder:

• Close The Sims 4.
• Go to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and move the entire The Sims 4 folder to your desktop.
• Relaunch the game and you'll have a new folder (no saves, no local data, since you moved or renamed the folder)
• Your saves and other user data are safely stored in The Sims 4 folder you moved/renamed.

As the Reaper's Rewards event has now ended, this thread has been archived. 

Thank you all so much for sharing the information needed to assist the team. Even though some issues weren't able to be resolved by the conclusion of the Reaper's Rewards event, we were able to use that data provided to improve the experience for future events. 

As always, we continue to learn and explore how we can provide the best possible experience for all who play The Sims 4, and will use the information in this thread to make decisions on how we can best move forward for future events.

Game Packs: werewolves, vampires, realm of magic, wedding stories, parenthood, dine out, outdoor retreat, strangerville, jungle adventure. Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? The moment you play any save file. It's the Grim Reaper event. The tasks will not pop up.
What happens when the bug occurs? The moment you play the game. I try to see what tasks i need to do for rewards and nothing pops up and gives me nothing.
What do you expect to see? Tasks on what to do to earn rewards for the Grim Event.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Just the recent update. That's it.

Nothing pops up even when i hover. I've cleaned my cache, got rid of my mods, etc. Nothing has worked.

My Grim Rewards just doesn't work? I completed a few activities and new ones just didn't show up? When I go to a different save it doesn't update either. Any help would be appreciated!

@lemonollie   Hello!  I'm sorry you're having trouble with the Reaper event.  Are you playing on PC, Mac or console?  If you're on PC or Mac, are you playing with any mods?

@lemonollie  Thanks for that!  I think it is still unclear what causes problems with the Reaper event for unmodded games.  Please try the steps in the below link provided by AHQ Hero @crinrict .

This guide will walk you through resetting your user folder while allowing you to keep the progress (saves, tray, etc.) in your current saved game.  Keep in mind that any claimed items in personal inventory will not convey.  However, it should allow you to progress through the tasks and then return to your primary folder.  Please come back and update if this works or not.

Was able to do week 1 and part of week 2. The quests disappeared the same day a the update to fix the Reaper rewards bugs. We are now on week 4. Very disappointed.

Basically during week two of the reaper rewards I was doing some of the quests and then went into CAS or Build Mode (I can't really remember unfortunately) and then the quests stopped appearing or new quests stopped showing up (again its been awhile so I'm not 100% sure) and they haven't returned. I've tried new in different saves and they still won't appear so I am unable to get the rewards.

Apologies, we haven't forgotten about you. At this time we believe the data provided from other platforms will also help determine the root cause for console as well.

I'll share any information I get.
