Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Log into the game, try to open the event pass it will not function and say "Something Went Wrong! Please wait and try again as the Gnomes try to fix the failure."
What happens when the bug occurs? I cannot open and claim rewards
What do you expect to see? TO open and claim rewards
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

As the Reaper's Rewards event has now ended, this thread has been archived. 

Thank you all so much for sharing the information needed to assist the team. Even though some issues weren't able to be resolved by the conclusion of the Reaper's Rewards event, we were able to use that data provided to improve the experience for future events. 

As always, we continue to learn and explore how we can provide the best possible experience for all who play The Sims 4, and will use the information in this thread to make decisions on how we can best move forward for future events.

Try the following

• Close the game
• Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
• Repair the game
• Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. 
• Start a new save game
• Check if you still have the error
• Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

There IS a thread for this already. Will merge when I find it.

It allowed me to open and claim, which i have not claimed as i would prefer it in my legacy save

@tomtomvader298 You can buy everything you claim in your legacy save. You should be able to just continue in the legacy save with week 3

What happens when the bug occurs? Box that says "Open Reaper's Rewards" populates in the top left corner, but it does not ask me to complete tasks, and clicking on it does nothing
What do you expect to see? I expect a task list to open up either on its own or when clicked

During the first week of Reaper's Rewards it worked just fine, I even remember dismissing it at one point because I didn't have the time to start it and I wanted to open a new save to perform it on. Now I'm opening the game to finally sit down and start it on week 2 and nothing is working. The little chibi reaper icon just sits there doing nothing, clicking on it does nothing, it doesn't ask me to complete tasks, it's completely busted. I do have mods but none of them affected it last week, only this week, and I haven't added anything new

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? log in to the game see if the events tab in the main menu works OR Login to the Sims 4 go into livemode see if the little grim reaper icon is grayed out
What happens when the bug occurs? hover the cursor over the little reaper and it will mention something about waiting for the Gnomes to fix the failure
What do you expect to see? the place where I can claim the rewards and be able to claim them too
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

I can't claim the rewards for week 2 in the Reaper's rewards event. It worked fine in week 1 but this week I can't claim the rewards.

@awildcat16 Could you try moving the accountsdbdata.packge file to the desktop ?

Is your gallery properly working or do you have issues there too ?

Could you also try the suggestions above ?
