I am having this same issue, just to let you know that it's still happening

I was about to come here and say it's still happening but it seems like exiting to main menu and reloading seems to update the true value. Mine jumped from $20,974 to 100000s 🤑 after a quick reload. If anyone else happens to find this and has the same issue, potential and easy fix.
